American Car & Foundry Files and Photos

Copies of original ACF Bills of Material, ACF Drawing Lists and Builder Photos

are available from:

John W. Barriger III National Railroad Library
Thomas Jefferson Library Building
8001 Natural Bridge Road
St. Louis, Missouri 63121-4499

The Library offers copying services for its collection of ACF materials. Besides builder's photos and the original ACF Drawings lists, the ACF Bills of Materials are a great resource listing all parts that went into a certain lot of cars including information on suppliers, part numbers, types and quantities of materials. A great resource for the private car owner.
