D-C Fix frosted window film was used to replicate the sand blasted look of the original window. Film was used as sandblasting was not recommended by the glazing manufacturer. The film is, unlike the original, attached to the inside of the window and not in the airgap between the two panes. This to prevent having to take the entire window apart again if the film does not hold up with expected temperature changes.
