Because of the size of the windows and the danger of scratching the inner surface of the Makrolon I'm assembling the windows vertically so that both panes can not slide over eachother. This can sometimes cause small scratches on the inner surfaces of the panes (been there, done that). For the same reason the protective paper is left on the outside surfaces until after the window is screwed back in.
