The two tubes sticking out of the breather are inserted through the gasket. The pointed one goes into the airgap and the other to the interior side of the window. The breather shown is actually just the other way around of the others found on the car. This one vents to the outside of the car. The large screw opens to the filter housing which holds a cotton filter.
